Working at Home – More Benefits

In my last article I covered some of the financial benefits from working at home. Today I would like to touch on some of the personal benefits that you will be able to enjoy.
Personal Freedom.
I have found that the most beneficial reward from working at home is the ability to regain control over one’s life. Just leaving behind clock watching, set routines and anonymous work spaces has an uplifting effect. The freedom of earning a living in the comfort and convenience of your own home has benefits way beyond the mere financial.
You can choose your own preferred time to work whether it be early in the morning or just in the evening after you have enjoyed a stress free day. Maybe work the occasional weekend and take Thursdays off! If you have a flash of brilliance at any time you are only a few steps from your office so can implement it immediately.
Stress Reduction.
You will be amazed at how much less stressful your life becomes once you start to work from home. Instead of having to cope with managing the demands of your working life with practical problems like a sick child you can cope with both in a stress free manner. Suppose you need to work late to meet a deadline, you can still take a break and have supper with the family before resuming.
By being at home you eliminate other causes of stress like office politics and niggling arguments between colleagues. Decisions once taken by your Boss as to when you can take a break, have lunch, go to a meeting are now down entirely to you. Most importantly you no longer have to worry about getting a raise, being denied promotion or, more likely in the current economic climate, being fired.
Family.
You will find that by working at home you have a much better chance of uniting the family. Instead of everyone shooting off in different directions partners can work together and achieve common goals. Likewise children have a chance to see what their parents do for a living and who knows, may come up with some bright ideas of their own. Developing your home based business becomes fun not a chore.
Summary.
Taken together the above benefits demonstrate that working from home is not a admission of failure, quite the reverse. You have control of your job security, an enriched lifestyle, increased productivity, and the opportunity to earn whatever you want by putting in the necessary effort.
The trend towards home based business is self evident. A decade ago it is estimated that fewer than 10 million people worked at home. Today that number is nearer 40 million worldwide.
